I realize that most of these photos show oh-so-trendy open kitchen shelving, which I don’t have. Obviously, the best way to get inspiration for how to arrange all ones kitchen flotsam and jetsam is to see it, and closed cabinet doors don’t really make that a possibility, so I’m making do with what I’ve got.

That said, I’ve been contemplating removing a few cabinet doors here and there, but I’ve been told that open shelves, particularly near the range, get grungy and greasy faster than one would think. On the other hand, open storage forces accountability - you gotta keep it neat, clean and edited to make it work.
