In watching Tom Ford’s A Single Man last night, I had the epiphany that everything I love about modernism in interior design can be summed up in three small words: black, white, brown.
Those three colors, and every variation between, precisely delineate the protagonist’s classroom (above) and office but come to life in his beautiful home, a wonder of wood and glass. Taking Ford’s signature sleek, masculine style and melding it with note-perfect mid-century modernism, A Single Man is a must-see for modernists everywhere.
