So fantastic. Note to self: spraypaint Dollarama tchotchkes bright white to bite this eagle’s style.
Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Close-Up: Glen’s Ever So Tasteful Tech
Man, Glen Benton sure has a classy place.
My all time favorite episode of House & Home with Lynda Reeves (I know, I know, shut up) is the “What’s the Perfect Cook’s Kitchen?” episode. In it, Lynda visits a chef’s kitchen, who feeds his family out of a standard small galley kitchen, and nerdy optometrist/cookbook store (!) owner who recreationally fiddles around with food in a GIANT showroom-style kitchen. Shockingly, the subtext of this episode isn’t “go big or go home” (unusual for this show, which considers 3000sq ft. houses to be small), and the couple with the outsized kitchen end up looking… well, foolish. After catching this episode yet again, I was surprised to see that the stove in the chef’s modest kitchen is identical to the little vintage stove I used to own, which has now been adopted by another family through the magic of Craigslist. In any case, all this is just an excuse to post one of my favorite photos from my old apartment, featuring that same small stove.
